Ken Mehlman Extends Green Programs

Most of us have experienced the effect of people’s irresponsibility through global warming.  The effects of global warming is taking place slowly and problems and accidents arises which leads to the main cause of this environmental problem.  Fortunately, there are still many people who are aware of what was really happening around us and would like to change things.  Kohlberg Dravis Rober & Co. or KRR with their senior member Ken Mehlman introduced the Green portfolio program.  This program aimed to develop and test analytic metrics and tools to help companies in the US portfolio measure of KKR and to improve their performance in the several key environmental areas of performance for the purpose of arriving at solutions to help solve problem like chemical use, waste, paper and water or energy consumption from their four companies.  This project grows remarkably strong since the results for the company are favorable to them and it has proven changes on the environmental impact.

Kenneth Brian Mehlman or Ken Mehlman, aside from being a senior member, head of Global Public Affairs and Managing Director of KRR, is also a political figure and an American attorney.  He previously served as partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld’s law firm.  He has been a longtime Republican Party figure.  He was also the campaign manager of George W. Bush for the 2004 re-election campaign before he served as chairman of the Republican National Committee by year 2005-2007.  George W. Bush appointed Ken Mehlman in June 2007 to the US Holocaust Memorial Council.
